Personally I'd have gone for a complete re-design, its still a Sabena cross dresser.
Phoning it in from a place with no phones.

I kinda like it.
It is different and it catches my eyes.

I think BEA at http://www.bea.com was earlier with its brand. The design company who did the Brussels Airlines design project must have been inspired by this BEA company brand... no doubt i.m.o. The design company must have thought 1 + 1 = 2. BEA... BEA? Brussels European Airlines! Let's call it Brussels Airlines and let's make a BEA Smarties-like 'b'. I find that a very cheap and tricky behaviour. Big booh!

Funny.
But when the airline's named Brussels Airlines, it could be interesting if they used like Maneken Pis on the vertical fin as a part of the colorscheme. Big grin

Regards.

Quoting Boeing777/747 (Reply 4):
Big booh!

It's a bit embarrassing to see that an airline is soo close to another, already existing brand (although it's a totally different market). I won't speak about a 'big booh' though it is an unconvenient story for Brussels Airlines and/or the design company involved. Maybe Brussels Airlines saw and liked the BEA logo and wanted a same brandsymbol created? Don't know the real background story.
