Eham Airport Chart

Wed Dec 06, 2006 8:15 pm

Hi peops, I'm looking for Airport Charts (no STARs or SIDs) for EHAM/AMS. Turns out, you can get airport charts for just about every landing strip in the US on the net, but as soon as you look for something European, you're screwed. Can anyone provide me with a link?

Thanks,
SailorOrion

Go to the bottom of the page in this link:

http://www.ais-netherlands.nl/aim/06...-AD-2.EHAM-en-GB.html#eham-ad-2.24

and all the charts are there.

Hope this helps.

Ah! Thanks a lot.

Any idea what the "usual" runway usage is? Is the 18/36 runway the main usage? From what I understand 36L/18R (northbound) and 36R/18L (southbound) are uni-directional? When was the runway 14/32 closed?

No problem at all. You are most welcome.

I can't help you with that.....I've only flown into AMS once. The others have all been in the virtual world of Flight Sim!

As I regularly listen to EHAM on liveatc, I've noticed that when runway 24 is used for departures, 18R is in operation for arrivals, while 18L also serves for takeoff. And then, when rwy 06 is used for arrivals, 36L works as departure runway. But that is certainly not a complete description of the "usual" runway usage.

Cheers.

14-32 was closed when Hangar 14 was built. Don't know from the top of my head, but it's more than ten years ago.

Depending on the winds 36L/36C/36R are used. With no landings on 36L.
When the 18's are used no take-off 18R, and no landings 18L.
24/27/22
06/09/04; no take-off 06, and no landing 09.

With no/little wind other combi's are also possible.

Hope this helps. Big grin

Thanks for the help  Smile

What is the approximate hourly capacity you can get in AMS under normal (IFR CAT I) conditions?

Hi SailorOrion,

You can find pretty much any airports charts on the web. Try this link -

http://usa-w.vatsim.net/charts/

It's THE best for finding charts for anywhere in the world.

06 takeoffs do in fact happen, but they are quite rare.
Mostly if it happens it's (almost) empty freighters.
