Monarch 767 At BRS This Morning

Thu Dec 07, 2006 9:31 pm

Whilst at BRS this morning,i saw a Monarch 767 taking off.He certainly was'nt hanging back on the power, and had a terrific climb rate.I think Monarch have now taken over the cruise charters from TOM,and this flight was bound for Bridgetown.Id imagine this flight would need to refuel en-route,and this might explain why he got off the ground so quickly.

It was flight 313 en route to Bridetown, I don't know if or where they will be refulling though as I got the flight info from the BRS airport website departures board.

Nice to see Monarch at Bristol, and even Thomas Cook by the look of it.

Hmm just noticed the JN flight numbers have changed.....

Hope that was of some help  Smile

Looking on flight aware it doesn't say its stopping on route but I would have thought it would have too. Its due to arrive at 10AM roughly

Id have thought maybe a refuel at MAN en-route.Seemed very sharpish on take off!
I think FCA are stopping at EMA or MAN,when they start long haul to Cuba,Florida next year from BRS.
Runway is'nt long enough at BRS for heavily laden long haul aircraft.

I don't understand why airlines are operating long-haul from BRS if they need to stop en-route, surely that costs them more? Why not just use CWL, or even let passengers continue travelling to CWL and LON as they always have in the past?
