No Radiation Found On Germanwings A319

Sun Dec 10, 2006 5:23 am

Today, a 4U A319 was inspected at CGN. This was because Dimitri Kowtun, a person who has met Litwinenko and now also is ill, travelled on the aircraft. The A319 had temporarily been taken out of service.

However, thankfully, no traces of radiation were found on the aircraft.

My ex-girlfriend called me yesterday afternoon. Hysterically sceeming at me like: "Paaaaaatrick, one of our planes get checked for Pulonium traces, I am sure I was on duty on this one lately, I'll die now!"

 Yeah sure

Whatever happens in this world all is ending up Policemen searching houses/cars/palnes in Germany. Is it just the media or is Germany the headquarter of the evil?

Thank God that we all have to carry our toiletry goods in little transparent plastic bags now through the airports - as we can see, this measure has really helped to make flying much safer.  Yeah sure

Yes, because only more than 100ml of Pollonium is deadly.

Not as deadly as a good dose of stupidity though. Thank God for our politicians, who are making air travel just as unpleasant as the terrorist would have intended to achieve themselves.

Makes you wonder doesn't it? Nuclear material, no problem, bring it on board. A can of Coke? No I'm sorry sir, you'll have to leave that here.

Unless security screening is going to take 2 hours a person, anything more than a basic metal detector and xray machine is a waste.

Enough with this psychois we have for 'security'. We had 9/11, then we increased security, then some guy brought a bomb in his shoe, so now we take of our shoes, then someone planned to try liquids, so none of that, now it's radioactive substances.

Here's the interesting part: airport 'security' stopped none of those incidents. They were all foiled the old fashion way (excluding 9/11 unfortunately). All this added security has gotten us no where. By the time the security folks implement a system the bad guys have moved on.

Let me take a can of coke on the plane while wearing my shoes. Please!!!

(For those of you wondering why I say two hours, think about biological agents that could be, very effectively, used on an airliner... If someone is willing to kill themselves, well, pre-infect, then cough... Stop that with security!)
I don't care what you think of my opinion. It's my opinion, so have a nice day :)

And moreover, even if we are far away from the subject here, please check-every pilot (who is sitting at the yoke/side-stick) for guns to be sure he won't "hijack" a plane.

This "liquds are limited" rule is utter horseshit, it makes not a single friggin' flight safer but only annoys the passengers because they have to check baggage which was allowed into the cabin in the past, or they have to pack their shower gel, etc. into some transparent plastic bags when they want to carry it onboard. A bullshit rule made by bureaucrats who have no clue about travelling by air. Period!

Nowadays I am glad when I don't have to fly (I say that as an aviation freak!), every other form of transportation is more pleasant because you don't have to waste time for dealing with paranoia!
