Icelandair Trip Report

Thu Jul 13, 2000 6:32 am

I just got back from Iceland. I flew and Icelandair 757 from MSP to RJK, it isin Iceland, I just forgot the code for the airport. I flew first class, and it was great, the service was great, along with the food. I'd like to know, has anyone else flown on Icelandair, and what they thought about it.

I also flew with them (2 times) LUX-Orlando and LUX-JFK. They have a great service. Especially back from JFK. We got 2 hot meals because there were 2 flights!! There is no airline between JFK and Europe that serves 2 hot meals in Eco or am I wrong??

Flew them from Boston via KEF to Arlanda(?) in Stockholm in Oct 97 and was impressed with service that I got in the cheap seats....except that they kept trying to make us drink orange juice often and being from Florida, that's kinda boring...maybe it's a treat to those folks over there?

Was delayed for 3 hrs in Iceland...thought it was a possible attempt to make sure we went to gift shops there...based on airport layout, one has to go there (main building) to find any type of services...or seats!

Greetings everybody.
To me it was a pleasant surprise the trip with Icelandair: I would agree with you that the service was great, but above all, I had the best deal travelling with Icelandair, truly unbeatable price.
I have also subscribed to their frequent flyer program. It seems nice, you can also buy some extra miles so to earn an upgrade.
