Varig Log To Receive 7 757F

Sun Dec 10, 2006 1:26 pm

Precision Conversions, LLC (Precision) announced that the company received an award to provide seven, full 15-pallet position 757-200PCF conversions that will be leased by Varig Logistica S/A (VarigLog). The management and administration of the deal has been assigned to SkyWorks Capital based in Greenwich, Connecticut.

The first aircraft entered conversion on October 16th at the Flightstar facility in Jacksonville and will be redelivered to VarigLog in January, 2007.

Precision Conversions submitted its application to the Brazilian Aeronautical Products Certification Branch (CTA) on November 7th, 2005 and is working with the agency to provide all of the necessary information to finalize the Brazilian certification for the 757-200PCF.

The 727s will be phased out?

What about the DC-10-30Fs?

The 727 are leased for 3 more years (counting from january 2006.) with option for more 3 years. The 727 phase out depends on the contract if VLog can or can't get it with the postal service. As I know more about this I post.  Wink

2 of the 3 of DC-10 now operates under VARIG Log operative. Soon all DC-10 will have the VLog certificate (one of then still flying as a VARIG aircraft). There is a LOI (Letter of Intention) signed for a 4th DC-10 to come in 2007 to serve as backup to the fleet.

Again as I know more about this I post here

Purely a guess based on past B757 operations into VQQ, but is this N767AN, cn 23767? Formerly with Avianca and no pics in the database this year...

Cool, I am probably dreaming here but can we see Varig Log flying these 752F's to CUR as well? How is cargo demand between Brazil and CUR? Just a question out of curiosity....  Smile
