Attention AC Flight Attendants...

Sun Dec 10, 2006 2:10 pm

Hi there,

I am currently an Air Canada employee who has been working for the company for 7 years. They have just posted openings for Flight Attendants with a Toronto base and I am seriously considering applying. I am just wondering about 2 things....1) How long can one expect to be on reserve?? Is it months?? Years??? I am completely aware that everything is based on seniority as I am currently a CSSA, unionised and face all the same seniority issues....and 2) I live in Montreal and quite honestly would much rather stay here and thus I would like to think that I could commute. Obviously this would be much harder to do if I were on reserve. Just looking for any current or or recently hired (over the past few years) AC crew members who might be able to offer some info from their own experiences.

Thanks,

You might also check www.airlinecrew.net

There's an active AC forum there too.
