ANA International

Thu Jul 13, 2000 9:10 am

Hello,

From what I know ANA was traditionally a domestic carrier, together with JAS. However since a few years (don't know when), they started expanding on the internationaL

On the US and Europe routes they used 747-400s. However they have introduced the 777-200ER on NRT-ORD, becoming the first ever Japanese carrier to operate such an ETOPS flight. And they plan to put it on NRT-SFO (do they simply open the route?) on 1st November 2000.

Thank you for any information regarding their international network.

Best regards,
Alain Mengus

There is already an ANA 747-400 flight going to SFO that leaves again for NRT at 11:35AM. ANA also codeshares with a mirror United flight leaving a 11:30AM, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is a whole new flight. Actually, NH008 departs SFO at 11:55 but I won't hold it against you Trvlr   Anyways, this is very interesting if ANA starts a second flight, it would then have more flights than JAL and then maybe JAL would open a second route as well.

The Pokemon Je schedule is posted on ANA's website, it changes every month, and even then it is not right (ie the Pokemon jet wasn't there when it was supposed to be  )
