Corsair 747 Incident Paris?

Wed Dec 13, 2006 2:44 am

Hi Folks,

The Daily Mail is reporting (In the paper and not on the website) that a Corsair 747 had an incident out of Paris!

All the paper reports is an incident with the tail, the plane was "escorted" for 90 minutes whilst dumping fuel and landed safely.

I assume that it wasn't a major incident as it flew dumping fuel for 90 minutes but does anyone know what happened?

I've searched the Internet but come up empty handed on this one?

Cheers,

Spru!

it was just a tailstrike
the plane was not really escorted: the 747 captain had asked a visual check of the damages.
metal sheets from the APU cone have remained on the tarmac, the 747 came back and landed safely

Many thanks for the update!

I put "Escorted" in quotes as I never believe the news papers.

Any pics of the damage?
