A judge in Taiwan has ruled that Japan Asia Airways have to compensate 53 passengers each for NT$7000 (USD200) due to heavy snowfall that paralyzed Tokyo in January 2006.
Passengers filed lawsuit because the airline left them alone at the airport without assistance, no food or water for 8hrs
One passenger claimed the airline didn't provide assistance, notify them update, using weather problem as excuse. The judge ruled JAA was supposed to offer meal and accommodations for the passengers.
JAA says will appeal the ruling.
