Quoting AAden (Thread starter):
klm flew their md-11s

Currently KL flies to SFO with the MD11, as from early 2007 they will fly to EWR with the MD (only a few weeks).

KL also operated the MD11 to MEM, MIA, ORD, MSP, DTW, JFK. I am not sure about MCO, could have been the DC10.

In Canada: YVR and YUL, sometimes YYZ.

Swissair's MD11s used to operate to virtually every North American gateway of the airline, including JFK, BOS, ATL, ORD, MIA, SFO, LAX and YUL. MD11s were not normally deployed to EWR (A310, later A330), IAD (A330), PHL (B743) but have on occasion anyway been flying there.

The word "flew" in your question is a bit confusing, I guess you mean where KLM and Swissair fly their MD-11s NOW because you want to spot or fly them at LAX.
Swiss, the follow up airline of Swissair, retired their last MD-11s in 2004.
KLM will continue to fly them for about 10 more years. SFO is usually an MD-11 destination. Their fleet is mainly focussed for low yield O/D flights like the Antilles, Latin America and mid Africa.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

You can still spot Finnair's MD-11 daily (or 5 pw in the winter) at JFK.
