Thu Dec 21, 2006 6:56 am

Well here's the pics again after a very immature act led to the mods taking the original off.

Yeah I tried but it was too late. At least it's linking to the different pics.

The tests are not yet complete so would this second(?) airframe likely get its livery in February as announced?

That's the first one (N747BC) -- the second one is still being built in Taipei, and hasn't left the hangar yet.

taking the original off.

What happened the original thread. I spent ages looking for it and couldn't find it in any other forums.

I'll ask my question again.

Will the LCF's have the dreamlifter livery (same colours as the dreamliner)?

I don't think we ever got an answer to the question posed on an earlier thread -- what is the configuration or purpose of the nose section of the main floor of the LCF?? It still retains its windows and the front left door. So what is this section used for? A club for off duty pilots and staff enroute? I can see a billiard table in there, tho I guess that wouldn't be very practical, huh?

Another question, how many staff will be flying aboard the LCF? A pilot & co pilot of course, but any freight or loading staff? Should we submit these questions to Randy for inclusion in his blog? (lol)

Given that this thing fairly crawls through the sky, I would imaging that there's a requirement for at least two crews from Japan - SEA. So I would imagine that the lower part of the fuselage is used as a crew rest area -- and the front doors are used to get in and out of the plane Big grin

There was a picture I saw someplace the other day where the plane in TPE was being tested. The tail was blue!

That would be the second aircraft sporting the "Dreamlifter" livery on the tail.

OK, I'll ask my question again seen as the mods pulled the other thread.

Does anybody have any pics of whats left of the upper deck and nose section from the inside.

I thought about taking pictures of those areas (on the second one), but they were a mess. The cockpit didn't have any seats and the lav was roaming around upper deck taking up random space.

The tail is fully supported during tail swing.

I believe they moved it to the first hangar. They are switching places with airplane 3. That was just what I heard from the EGAT folks.

When will they start work on plane #3 and when will it be delivered to Boeing?

Depends on what you understand under the rest.  Smile As far as I know, the main (lower) deck will be empty, probably just a bit of equipment. So, the off-duty pilots could do some stretching there. At the same time there will be crew rest module, lavatory, galley and closet on the upper deck.

The Dream)Lifter has its own livery.  Smile Very nice... as 777MechSys has photogs for us.

See link of the press release of the Dream)Lifter (i think we should all spell it like this from now on). hehe

Wow. Plain white fuselage with a blue tail. How . . . inspiring. bored

I guess the cost to put an LCF into full Dreamliner colors would be staggering. I just hope they keep the fleet clean, that plain white is rarely a good idea on a cargo bird.

The last thing Boeing is worried about is how the Dream)Lifter looks... i mean, Come on.. LOOK at it. lol Actually i was pleasantly surprised by the livery, it was going to be just plain white all over it from what we had been hearing.

The first one will be painted actually after it EIS (probably after the 2nd one is online). The 2nd and 3rd will be delivered fully painted and ready for action.  Smile

Thanks for the link. I must admit my cousin could have come up with a better looking colour scheme than that  Silly

I guess we'll just have to wait and see it in real life before judging the scheme  Smile
