Airport Holiday Festivities?

Fri Dec 22, 2006 10:29 pm

So how is everyone dealing with all the wonderful holiday related festivities going in our airports right now?
I am referring to the long never ending lines, overpacked terminals, and the ever complaining upset passengers.
Here at JFK T3 we got huge mile long lines that intertwine and go way outside of the terminal, and the passengers are as happy as ever. It doesnt really bother me anymore I am kinda immune to it now lol.

It seems that whenever there's a holiday coming up the weather starts getting bad stranding travellers all over.

AMS is flooded with passengers trying to go to the UK, which has been covered in fog since yesterday. An IR747SP trying to make it to LHR just gave up and left AMS for THR, passengers are free to go anywhere they like  Wink and as KL is the handling agent for IR...

Every KL flight to LHR has at least 40 pax on the Waitlist... every flight to CWL, LCY and BRS has been cancelled for tonight...

So no, no festive holiday mood when realistically I don't see this people getting out today or maybe even not tomorrow...
I wish that all skies were orange and blue!!

The airport had a high school choir come in yesterday and sing during the day.... it was nice...

Otherwise, the usual busy flights and long lines.... luckily, the wx here has been decent.
