Newcastle now in the drop down list at the above location. Does this mean an announcement is imminent?

Venice is also in its drop-down menu.

Excellent news for the north-east. I may just have to try and fly into NCL on the inaugural flight.

From what I can remember, there never used to be any stands big enough for the A330 at NCL, except for remote stands. It wouldn't surprise me if NCL end up arranging a large stand with airbridge for this operation, as I am sure EK will want to avoid using steps on each flight. I know there is the original airbridge on what used to be the domestic side, plus a newer one on the 'new' domestic side used on the BA LHR flights.

Personally I think daily flights is a bit too much and that 5xWeek would be better. However good luck to EK and hopefully it will be a success

Who would have guessed though that NCL would get Dubai flights before ones to New York?

Maybe there is an airline starting an US flight and the airport will anounce them both at the start of the new year?

Surprisingly enough NCL have just built a new airbridge capable of handling B747 a/c  scratchchin

Quite a few stands capable of taking A330 a/c, although most of them aare remote stands...

I can't seem to find it. It's not in the drop down menu?!

Thats what I would have thought as well. I'm suprised Continental havn't started it yet. They could easily fill a daily 757!

Good luck to Emirates however!

I also couldn't find it neither in their booking area nor in their flight schedules. The same for Venice, too.

Well Newcastle could certainly use this flight after not getting the AA JFK-NCL service and Travel City Direct NCL-Orlando serivce  twocents

Glad to see at least one airline is increasing it's UK operations. I know that it is probably too soon to speculate but what might be another destination in the UK that EK could be looking at? Edinburgh? Belfast? Cardiff? I think most of England is now pretty easily accessed to EK flights, don't you think?

EDI - close to GLA and now NCL
BFS - you can't drive from Belfast to an airport served by EK without using a ferry but Im not sure there would be the demand
CWL - A possibility

I wouldnt also rule out STN - would save the drive round the M25 for people in North London and East Anglia
