Thank You ATC And Airline Staff

Sun Dec 24, 2006 3:20 pm

Just wanted to say thanks to the ATC, Pilots and Airline staff who are getting people where they need to go this season because they have what it takes to do the job. Extra big thanks to those who are working on the holidays. If anyone from YYZ Tower/Terminal is on this forum, I'll be listening to you on x-mas day. I encourage other A.net members to listen in as well. It's always fun listening on xmas/new years. I just wanted to say thanks for the great job you're doing, 365 days a year, keeping those of us in the air and on the ground safe.

Cheers
~YYZ from YTO

Absolutely. While I'll personally be thanking the people I interact with on Christmas Day (CO 556 back to CLE), there will be countless professionals -- ATC and airline employees helping to ensure my safe travels who I will not be able to personally thank.

So...Thank you, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and safe travels!

I'll be in Ops, trying to keep those birds balanced...which this time of year is VERY difficult. I had a 734 yesterday, that was 1 bag away from not getting off the ground. Hope you all have a great holiday, and safe travels into the new year!

We will be helping you folks out as we are not checking our bags, so hope you can get a few others to do that to lighten your load, but when we do check them we sure appreciate all of the good people getting them on the right plane and to us at our destination.

And to all of you wonderful folks working the holidays thank you so much for your hard and never ending work to keep aviation as the safest mode of transportation and Happy Holidays to all.

Thank you YYZatcboy for starting the thread, we appreciate it very much. I've got so much to be grateful for and trust others of you do as well, so take a moment and say thanks to those around you at work and play for their part in your life and for all they do for you.......

Thank you fellow A.netters and celebrate your chosen holiday safely.

I would also like to express my thanks as well as my best wishes for the Holiday Season & New Year.

Like a lot of people I tend to give too little thought to those that have to work on holidays like Christmas. This year is a bit different as my wife is back in the hospital for another round of chemo treatments and I'm very aware of the nurses on the floor, as well as the other hospital staff, that will have to be there. For the nurses there have been food baskets this weekend (for some reason nurses love to eat!) and there will be more.

For the others, especially those handling the madness of holiday travel, all I can do is say thank you very much.

To me you folks are like our military, firemen, police, and water/electricity support in our society. Without you, we're nowhere. With you, we are what we are.

For me personally, the air system allows me to make my livelihood.

I thank everyone I come in contact with on my 60-70 trips per year.

But, now at the holidays, a big thanks again to all of you throughout the world.

You know, from the time when the Wright Bros started flight, to now, it is amazing the system that we have adopted; with pilots, ATC, TSA, and agents. Thanks to all. Merry Christmas.

Thanks for all the thanks! I work ramp for AC in YYC and will be working christmas day. This has got to be one of the busiest holiday seasons I've ever worked. We've gotta be breaking some records! We had an A340 operate a flight to YYZ that is normally an A320! And our red-eyes have gone from one A320 and one E190 to a 763 and a 762. Never seen it like this before!

Thank God the weather has been mild

Kris
