ORD History Help

Mon Dec 25, 2006 7:07 am

Does anyone know where TWA's hangar in ORD was located? Is the building still there or did it get torn down?

TWA's hanger was located on the north end of the field along with the maintenance hagers for the other airlines. When TWA pulled it's maintenance ops from ORD the hanger was breifly occupied by Fed Ex. Then AA aquired the hanger and uses it primarily for B checks now. It's refered to as AA's Hanger Two. Under the current ORD reconstruction plan it will eventually be torn down. Hope this helps.
