Atlantic Express To Finish?

Tue Dec 26, 2006 1:36 am

Rumour has it here on Fraggle Rock, that Atlantic Express is to cease operations very shortly. The company apparently has been sold and will be making all crew redundant. What will happen to the ATR 42's when they stop ops? Alegedly some other comapny has bought them and they will lease them out.

Anyone else got any information? Could this be the chance for Euromanx to do some surrepticious expansion by leasing/buying one or more of the '42's - after all, they are forever leasing them in as stop-gaps.

Not sure how this affects the whole Atlantic Aviation Group. I was under the impression they were quite a solid outfit.
