Airbus / LHT: A380 Vvip Development

Sat Dec 30, 2006 6:54 pm

A report in a German magazin states - based on quotes from LH Technik and designers - that Lufthansa Technik has already talked to three clients, interested in the A380-800VVIP. No additional details available, sorry.

He said it himself: “If the ride is more fly, then you must buy.” Of course, the 747's got low miles and is pimped like a mizzlefizzle. smile

Failure is not an option; it's an outcome.

I think that most private jet usage will be for short business trips. Despite the probably large number of attending staff, I doubt very much that the hold will be filled with baggage. So,
apart from maybe adding in some more fuel tanks, what else do they put into the hold? My estimate is that not more than 1/4 of the hold should be required for baggage and that cargo will not be shipped on a private jet. So lets use another 1/8 or so for extra fuel, then what happens to the remaining 5/8?
(My fractions are just estimates). Anyone with details on how
they layout the baggage area please share.

But what I'd most love to see are the actual floorplans for the main two decks.

Oh what was I thinking? I'm now thinking probably a garage with special ramp for loading the fleet of royal Limos and the motorcade. Just guessing.

Maybe they'll put in those famous bowlinglanes we have discussed so much here.
