LCF Coming To Japan

Sat Dec 30, 2006 7:25 pm

Hey Y'all,

Just wondering if anyone knew when the LCF was leaving for NGO and if it was coming from Seattle or Taipei?

It is suppose to leave NGO on the 1st or 2nd with the first 787-8 part made in Japan. That is the day after tomorrow! (here in Japan)

Does this airplane even have paint yet or are they using it without paint?

I would guess they'd send one of the PAE birds over since they're the ones finishing up the certification program (since I am going to assume Boeing can't operate LCF's in cargo-hauling service unless the family has completed certification).

I would think they would have finished by now. There is a plane in TPE getting finished up and it looked like it was being painted. I saw a picture where the tail had been painted blue and not white. The final livery will have blue tails and white body right?

Well its the 31st in Japan. I am looking at Flightaware and not finding any planes with the destination of NGO or with a refuel in say ANC. There are no 744 movements out of BFI or PAE for the last 24 hours. And there are no 744s from TPE with movement towards NGO either.

We were given the date of January 2nd for the LCF departure. Could this have been wrong?

Well it's still ther as of Dec. 28th. The word is that the first LCF deliveries won't occur until Jan. 5th (due to delays with trying to figure out flutter issues) so I think you can expect the LCF in Nagoya around Jan 3 to Jan 4.
That which does not kill me makes me stronger.

Thank you big time. Let's me set some video up to catch the news. Some other Members are going out to get photos.

Will the LCF have a Boeing Number or Evergreen Number?

LCF#1 does not have paint...

The tail/engines had been painted already before it was completed. It has not been delivered to Seattle yet... unless it happened over the vacation.

Yes... the date range was between the 2nd and the 5th. No one ever got the memo i guess...

checkmark  And i have confirmation of this from a Boeing Procurment agent in charge of Charleston, SC to/from.

Currently Dream)Lifter #1 flies using Boeing Flight 876. Once in service... who knows.

Thanks to a yet-to-join A.netter.

The delivery of the 43 section from KHI on the LCF is pushed back until 1/12/07.

That means I can't go out and get photos. I have to work. We need a French Frogs type over here.
