Sun Jul 16, 2000 9:42 am

Hello,

Why were Qantas Airways and Sabena housed in the American Airlines' terminal at JFK back in 1989?

Probably because of their affiliation with AA...Did Qantas even fly to JFK back in 1989(and not rely solely on codeshare)?

Qantas did only codeshare on AA flights from LAX to JFK back then, but AA still displayed its sign (as you can see). Sabena back in 89 used the AA terminal, before moving to Delta Terminal 3, and now is in the International Terminal (Terminal 4).

Nowadays QF operates from Terminal 7 with British Airways for it's 5 a week 744 flights from SYD and LAX.

Cheers!
