Small Plane Down In Oregon

The pilot of a small plane was killed Saturday (12/30) morning when it
crashed in rural Hillsboro, Oregon.

The plane is believed to have taken off from Hillsboro Airport, west of
Portland and almost immediately reported engine trouble. The plane ended up
upside down in a field. The pilot's destination is not known at this time.

The pilot was the only person on the plane. The identity of the pilot has
not been released pending notification of family.

The crash is under investigation.
