Hi folks, anyone a clou why on 1/2/2007 CO111 (CGN to EWR) , 757-200, diverted to Newburgh, NY instead of terminating the flight @ EWR ??? Whas it weather affected? Or any other reason ? Regards, Chris

Stong surface winds at EWR are preventing them from using an optimum runway configuration, and that has slowed EWR down such that there are ATC delays longer than this guy could apparently tolerate from a fuel standpoint. So, off to SWF he goes, and after getting refueled, he'll be off SWF-EWR...

CO 121 from Barcelona went through Bangor (Maine) yesterday. Not sure whether that was the same issue or not.
