MAN Spotters: Which Hotel And Which Place

Fri Jan 05, 2007 3:33 am

I will be flying out of MAN in the near future, where should I go to get the best view of aircraft activity and which hotel should I stay in? I think I am staying in the Marriot but are any any better?

The Radisson SAS is a good one, providing you get a room on the apron side, bit pricey but worth it  Smile You can easily walk over to T1 from there too on the skylink and go to the mezannine level an see stuff arriving and departing.

Agree that the Radisson SAS would probably be the best hotel if you specify a room on the apron side.

The best views of aircraft activity would probably be from the spectator terrace which is located by Terminal 1 on Level 13 of the Multi Storey Car Park. For runway movements, best views are from the garden at The Airport Pub or at the Aviation Viewing Park.

The Marriott is off-airport so you will get no views. As others have said the best one would be the Radisson, but a high floor at the Crowne Plaza would work.
