SWA Releases Dec Numbers

Fri Jan 05, 2007 10:26 pm

SWA numbers look pretty flat compared to some of the other airlines for Dec and the 4th Q. It will be interesting to see what kind of a quarter they have.

On another note, MDW is reporting that they still have not recovered fully since ATA departed as a hub carrier....mmmmm.

So what is flat about a 10.3% jump in traffic? What kind of jumps in traffic is everyone else making?

Sorry I have not seen any other carriers report ..... yet.

Thanks

I don't exactly get how a 10% increase in traffic on an 8% increase in capacity is "pretty flat." They increased RPM's by nearly three times as much as jetBlue on capacity that increased just under twice as much as jetBlue. They even managed to increase their passenger load factor on the increased capacity!
