With all due respect, Bob O'Brian the executive directer of RFD is full of ****.
He keeps making unsubstantiated statements about his and other airports and it's time to call him on it. MDW approach and the GYY tower work very well together, thank you. They are both professionals and work well together. There are many times when GYY is clear and MDW and ORD are socked in, as in our last snowstorm. MDW and ORD had snow and GYY had 36 degrees and VFR. When air carriers divert to GYY, such as United, they can then do a quick tower to tower clearance to ORD or MDW.
