New IFE On Delta Domestc 767-300s - When?

Mon Jan 08, 2007 5:46 am

Delta has converted all of the ex-Song 757s to a two-class configuration, which all feature PTVs with live Dish Network television. Delta plans to put this live television IFE on more 757s, 737-800s, and domestic 767-300s. This may have been asked before, but I did a search and could not find an answer. Now that more time has passed, someone now may have an answer.

Does anyone know when Delta will be adding the new IFE to the domestic 767-300s? The domestic 767-300s have the most outdated IFE in Delta's fleet, featuring old projectors with horrible quality. Unlike the international 767-300ERs, the domestic 767-300s do not have the ceiling-mounted CRTs. It would be nice to see them get some form of new IFE. The L-1011s, originally equipped with reel flim projectors, were replaced by projectors similar to what the 767-300s currently feature in the early 1990s.
