Passengers & Flight Lessons

Tue Jul 18, 2000 2:39 am

Is it allowed to take passengers (non-paying) while flying with flight instructor?

Or is this strictly based on instructor's allowance?

Thanks,

Jernej

Since you are paying the instructor, the decision is up to you. There are no rules against it. Why wouldn't you ask the flight instructor this question? I guess your the non-paying passenger.

Thanks for this info!

And no, I'm not the passenger. I fly with C172 and my friend would like to fly a little

Yeah I learned on C172's and I would regularly take friends out while I was learning, but not in activities where it is illegal to have passenger, eg Stalling, SFLWOP, and low flying, and of course solo time... But that depends on what your laws are in the country you're from, in NZ as I mentioned, that is the case. but check with your instructor as to if he/she would like to have a passenger on board...
