What's With The CV880 Preservation Project?

Sun Jan 14, 2007 10:06 pm

At the end of last year, the CV880 preservation project announced on their website www.convairjet.com that the three CV880 specimens they have (the nose of MSN 3 and the complete MSN 13, ex-TWA and FAA at Atlantic City, NJ and MSN 23 at Mojave, CA) would be taken on loan by an aviation museum. But they have just updated their website to say that the planes are for sale! What is happening?

There's a thread on this further down the page... looks like it's all over and they're selling the planes on eBay
I do enjoy a spot of flying, especially when it's not in economy!
