US E190 Tour De New England

Mon Jan 15, 2007 10:16 am

Hey all NE spotters, here's the info on tomorrow's US 190 tour...

BOS-MHT-PVD = US9481 on 15JAN
PVD-CLT = US9482 on 16JAN

It leaves BOS at 1030 and is sheduled to arrive in MHT at 1100
It will remain in MHT until 1500 and head to PVD. It is scheduled to arrive in PVD at 1600, and RON until 1030 on Tuesday, and head to CLT.

I don't know about BOS or MHT, but here at PVD we will be parking it at Gate 3W, or Gate 2 (same gate, just depends who you ask and what time). So for all you spotters, It will be easy to get a look from all the access roads. I know I'm bringing my camera to work with me!

The 190 will be back next Monday as well, not sure of the times, but will fill you in, when I find out.

Pretty annoying that they send shit through New England, but can't even put one through PIT for a few days?

There are no plans to bring any 190s to PIT at all. I don't even think that the will be training any of the ground crews to work them in the near future. The 190s for the most part will run out of PHL and replace a lot of the 170 flying, plus some expansion routes.

Isn't it funny? We only have 2 of them delivered so far, and one will shuttling around the East coast, and the other on the complete opposite side of the country, so employees can get a 'Grand Tour'

That's the purpose of this tour, TRAINING.

Quoting Cadet57 (Reply 4):

I'm sure it will be soon, if it wasn't there today (SUN). It's flying around for training, and if I remember correctly, the only cities, said to receive the 190 beginning 12FEB is PHL, MHT, BOS, PVD, and IAH. DFW will be getting it too, not sure if service starts on the 12th though.

DFW does start on the 12th in phase 1 and 945UW has already done 3 CLT-DFW roundtrips for training purposes although scheduled service will be PHL-DFW.

I'm flying down to Orlando tomorrow morning with my daughter, but a few hours before the 190 is scheduled to land at MHT. I'll have to post a note over on my Yahoo MHT Group to get one of our great picture-takers over there. Hopefully the weather will have cleared up for good shots.

Wow that is alot of training. How many 190 flights will DFW get? Because here at PVD, to start we are only seeing one, and only two visits for training.

P.S. I can't wait to go to work today!!!

why is the plane going through PHX?

Two reasons really:
1) PHX is HDQ, so all the big wigs can see it.

2) Tomorrow the company is offering an open house for all employees system-wide that can make it to PHX, they will be allowed to tour the E190.

Here is a view looking back from the FWD galley..at the very comfortable leather seats.

I do like this, however it is just another sign that we are HP run.

I like it too. IMO it makes the US brand stronger, by displaying it inside the aircraft as well. Damn that reminds me, tomorrow, I gutta check to see what the saftey cards look like. I imagine like the blue/red/yellow now found on west airbii.

That's the purpose of this tour, TRAINING.

Perhaps in a perfect world you would have read my entire post, but in reality you just picked out the words that looked shiny and colorful to you. Now Gift4bone please scroll back up to my original post and notice that I just stated that PIT would not be getting the 190, even for TRAINING (as you said it). So please do not try to school me on the porpuse of the "tour".

But to add something to the thread I have heard that the 190s that have been built for US, are all the will be delivered for the time being. Until the DL deal is figured out the rest will be put on hold.

Ok, calm down killer, I was just reiterating that point. That that is exactly why the aircraft wouldn't be visiting PIT. Sorry to have upset you, no offense was meant by it.

I was on the cancelled 225 p.m. Dash 8 down to JFK. Ended up being able to get a seat on the 6:30 BOS-GSO non-stop; was one of the lucky ones on that flight that was able to get out of town today. All DL flights (and NW and CO) were sold out, so most people were stuck until tomorrow unless they wanted to go down to BOS, which had openings to ATL and other point-to-point destinations (such as mine).

Update on the 190 visiting NE this week, looks like it's only PVD this time.

US9243 from CLT-PVD on 22JAN
1514 - 1657 times.

Again we will be sticking it on 3W/2 (same gate).
