It looks like the DEN-DAY route is probably to compete with Frontier.

Kind of looks like the GPI route is out of the blue, but I suppose if the demand is seasonal...

With Frontier's announcement of service to Louisville, KY, expect United Express to start DEN-SDF, too.

DEN-RDU

From a quick attempt to book on united.com, this appears to be 735 service.

Maybe they will wait to see how Frontier does on the route, as they did with DEN-DAY. And then there's DEN-BDL....

Interesting to see the major jumping on the LCC routes, not the other way around.  Smile

I guess BFL-DEN service is not in the cards for this lifetime...sigh...

How are UA and F9 doing for gate space? Can they squeeze in more commuter flights? I know the concourses could be extended - is that in the works?

All is not necessarily lost. At least - not yet.  Smile

I can't recall if BFL responded to the Frontier RFP (I know SMX did), but none of those citites have been announced yet.

Gate space doesn't seem to be a pressing issue (although it may become one). Within about three (?) months, United will leave Terminal A entirely, and they are getting (have?) an extension for regional aircraft at B.

Frontier will take over the United A gates, and there is talk of a new regional extension on A for them.
