Meals On Flight

Wed Jan 17, 2007 11:32 pm

Is there any change about meals on flight? Last December 2006, I went with my family on flight to San Francisco on American Airlines from Detroit via Chicago O'Hare (5 hours total in flight) and learned that there was NO meal on flight (only drinks). It was my first time to have NO meal on flight (5 hours). In the summer 2005 we had hot meals on British Airways both ways (Toronto-London Heathrow)
Is the meal changed recently? Or is that the way American Airlines do? I just wonder about this..

Thank you!

Posted in the wrong forum...

I think this is possibly because that flight is 'Buy-on-Board' service? Or maybe they just never offered it period?

All BA Transatlantic (And any other carrier I'd imagine!) flights have a free meal service available.

Yes, but that should be American airlines (notice the use of caps). Few airlines serve meals, except buy-on-board, anymore, with the exception of CO and some in first class.
