IAH And Int'l Cargo

Fri Jan 19, 2007 8:44 am

Well two big announcements from our friends at the DOT showing a possible romping up in int'l cargo @ IAH.

Below is a DOT PDF showing a new route from IAH to SZX via ANC. The route applied for is in the first page and paragraph. Oddly enough the startup date for this service is April 1, but knowing that the US Govt has no sense of humor, well.......

If true, I can't wait to see this beauty. Now tell me that this is not a stunning aircraft.

The 2nd announcement show that our old friend Variglog is possibly returning to IAH, though no firm commitment or date has been set. At this stage they appear to be getting all of the paper work out of the way. You will note, quite a few other US cities are listed as well.

So with KE Cargo starting up next week (I know, I know it is not showing on the KE website, no need to point this out!), rumored Airbridge operations sometime in ''07', it looks to be a good year for int'l cargo ops at IAH. Hell we might even pass DFW  duck

While I am happy and optimistic with the above announcements, I'll get more excited once they are officially announced by either the City Of Houston (HAS) or the carrier's themselves.

From ANC huh? My company will service those flights. We'll do our best to keep the planes together for ya.
