Airframe Hours/cycles

Wed Jul 19, 2000 12:47 am

I was wondering if you guys could tell me where I can find information on aircraft utilization - hours/cycles. I am particularly interested in high-cycle airframes. Are any 747s with 100,000+ hours still in operation?
Thanks.

I think TWA (had) a number of 747-100's with 100,000 hours on them - the oldest of which was the a/c destroyed in the TWA800 incident.

Other than that, can't help you

Other than pulling that information up in an airline's computer, I don't think you can get access to that kind of information.

Oops, I was wrong about the TWA800 aircraft -

from the NTSB

Aircraft: Boeing 747-131, registration: N93119
It has accumulated about 93,303 flight hours and 16,869 cycles

so it was < 100,000 at the time
