What Happened To The LOT Krakow - London Service?

Sat Jan 20, 2007 1:31 am

Didnt LOT Polish Airlines used to fly the Krakow - London Gatwick route? Whilst the Warsaw route went to Heathrow?

If so what happened to it, and will it ever return? If it does return, it should really fly to Heathrow...especially when Star Alliance take over the Heathrow East Terminal. It will allow for much better connections to the States!

It has been transferred to LOT's low-cost subsidiary Centralwings some years ago.

Is there any chance of them operating a service to Heathrow though with the full frills airline...LOT?

Doubt it. BA both operates the route to LHR, Ryanair to STN and Central Wings to STN. SkyEurope also run to STN and EasyJet to LTN. That's quite a lot.

Admittedly, only the LHR route is really useful for connections to the US however from Krakow one can fly easily to Germany where many routes are also available.
