Green And White Aircraft Flys Into ONT

Mon Jan 22, 2007 12:57 pm

Today I was at church in Ontario and runway operations were on 26L and 26R then later shifted to 8L and 8R operations because of winds and the church I was at was right in the runways path. I was surprised at how quiet it was. I don't get why those folks over at SNA complain especially since I was a lot closer to the airport. On my way back from church I saw an aircraft that was green and white landing at ONT. It looked like a 757. I found it odd because I've never seen one of these before at ONT. Could somebody please tell me if this was the new Western flights I've been hearing about.

It might have been one of DL's old Song AC. Thats the best guess I can give.

Probably DAL353:

Aww... ok thank you. I've never seen one of those fly into ONT and never a 757 either.

I pass by the east end of the runways every morning and every afternoon and I have yet to see a song bird landing or taking off. Bummer, because they wont be around long.

Well if this helps it came in around 10:30-11:30 Sunday morning. I don't remember exactly when but it was sometime around then.

I never knew that 757's flew into ONT and I was shocked.

Off the top of my head I can tell you that DL and 5X fly 757's into ONT daily. So there's a few that you can try to spot everyday as well as the odd equipment change on US/HP, CO, and AA every now and then. Hope this helps.

ONT

3x daily on the ONT-ATL run... plus UPS of course, and the only other 757 I've EVER seen there is an AA bird.
Scotty doesn't know...
