This company (based at my local airport) also lost a Westwind in Panama a few years back. Glad to hear there were no fatal injuries

The plane continued through a fence, across Three Degree Road and came to rest just outside the Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Not a bad place to crash plane at. I am sure the response time was low.

For anyone looking for the picture, it's been moved. This should send you directly to the photo. Reg. was N492AT, ex N492MA, N12511, HZ-AFP of Saudia (chased this plane and photographed it at Biggin Hill, UK!)...

"Mr. Bailey said the approach used by the jet will be shut down for weeks until the destroyed antenna is replaced."

Ouch, that's a big expense. Looks like he took out an ILS antenna and part of the als. But nobody was seriously injured, which is the most important thing.

4800 foot runway + snow/icing + jet = touchdown right at the threshold or go around.

I'm glad they are alright, I'm suprised Butler Airport has an ILS!

Thats a long runway. Ive seen citations go in and out of 3,000 feet. The new soverign can get in and out of 2,800 ft!

Anywho ive flown into BTP many many times. Great airport. I grew up flying all around pittsburgh. All they have to do is finish up that runway extension and get some more charters in there. AirQuest kinda has a monopoly. (A College/Pt 141 school would be awesome also).

True, but with a wet runway that number goes right out the window.

Those are some lucky people considering the damage to the aircraft and the localizer antenna.

I wonder who is going to pay for a new antenna???
