Anyone Have Photos Of The New US 767 Interior?

Sat Jan 27, 2007 3:07 pm

I was wondering if anyone might have a clearer picture of the updated US 767 cabin, which has blue seats and blue/red wave along the bulkheads like the E190s?

the bins look same as the old ones, and the arm rests are still the old ones, they just simply recovered the seats in coach with blue leather and put new designs on the bulk heads to make it look brighter, but thats all I notice. in just one photo out of a newsletter. That was why I was wondering if anyone had photos of their own that might show more details, if its just bulkhead decals and just simple reupholstery.

On a seperate note, why is US Airways re-registering all the 767s? I noticed they are using the AU and AY letters from the original US letters in the registration.

AU and AY have been used because the "correct" numbers weren't always available with a US suffix. Between that and a renumbering of aircraft to standardise US and HP there's gonna be some changes. Also, the heritage aircraft will all have "correct" registrations for the heritage airline.

Theyre reregistering the entire fleet.. Something to do with commonality.. Also, the 767 interiors were just refurbished.. same bins, same fixtures, but replaced if they were heavily worn... which is what they were.

Still updating with a 777 interior would have made the Spirit of Piedmont proud though.
