The aircraft's location was actually over the Atlantic, many miles east of the Maryland/Virginia border.

An A-330-200 five hundred miles east of NYC-PHL-DCA area...what company could that be? Judging the by zulu time in the PIREP it was 4:08PM eastern time. Something going from Europe to Florida or vice versa?

It's a bit south of the DC area as well. Southern Europe or Africa? Maybe something in the Carribean?

I wonder if this was a Northwest A330. NW is one of the leader in turbulence forecasting.

Wouldn't be NW, they have no 330s that would be routed southeast of NYC. Who has a habit of flying through horrible weather and not reporting or complaining about it?

NW58, MEM-AMS. Here's today's flight.

Here's flight 58 on 1/25.

It's still a good possibility it was a Northwest flight.

My bet is Air Transat. They have A332s that fly from YYZ and YUL to Florida and the Caribbean.

TP is the abbreviation for type.

Ah my bad. TP just happened to be Tap and since Tap also operates the A332....

Whoops.
