Any Suggestions For LCC Into Prague

Sun Jan 28, 2007 3:23 pm

Hi experts,

As a person unfamiliar with LCCs in Europe, I wonder if you guys and gals have any suggestions regarding LCCs into Prague. My friends are getting married in Prague in September, and I am in the midst of planning my flights into Prague, and want to see what are my options in and out of Prague?

I know a number of LCCs flying into Prague and wonder if you folks have any recommendations, especially some of the newer Eastern European based LCCs? Who to fly and to avoid?

Thanks in advance!

To be honest, if you are departing from the USA, stick with DL or Czech Airlines. Since they are partners, if there is a cancellation or delay, they are very good at taking care of you.

I went there in 2003 and only paid $400.00 RT JFK-PRG. I was supposed to fly nonstop until the OK A310 had a heavy mx issue and we were re-booked on DL to BRU, then on a OK 737 BRU-PRG.

I bought my tickets four months in advance. So, check out the specific airline websites and check twice a week to see if any fare changes have occured.

I believe Ryan Air flies into Brno from London. Brno is probably about two hours away from PRG by train.

Easy Jet flies from London. Avoid from Thursday to Sunday as it's filled to the gills with drunken sots doing hen and stag parties in Prague. They are a blight on the city.

I love Prague and have lived there. If you are flying from the USA, fly Delta, KLM or Czech. You'll love Prague, it's a magical city.
I bought a Venus Fly Trap today and was going to name it "Republican" but the fly trap is beneficial to the environment.

Clickair
Sky Europe
Germanwings
Easyjet
Thompsonfly
Flyglobespan
Sterling
Flybaboo (well, dunno about ifts lcc)
bmi baby
aer lingus
(must have forgotten something)

avoid Smartwings! you never know whether they decide to fly or just cancel your flight.

I actually dont recommend combining a long haul and a lcc, as somebody already said, its about taking care. Sky Europe gave hotels tho, when there was a snow calamity in PRG.

regards, Judith
there is no coincidence

US Airways will be flying to Prague very shortly when they have complete control of Delta.
