That page isn't great for directions on foot once you've reached the freight terminal. I'm surprised RingwayReports doesn't give better on-foot directions as well.
However, the walk from the freight terminal to the AVP
is easy. There are a couple of bus stops around the freight area, the one you want to get off at is at the end of (I think) Viscount Lane (Viscount Drive? It's about two years since I went there on public transport) - the bus will come to a corner at the end of the freight terminal and head round to the left, where there is a bus stop. Just as it goes round that corner, you'll see a set of shallow-ish steps to your right. It's best to get off at that bus stop and head up those steps. At the top of the steps, you'll see an access barrier and security hut to the apron on your left; you should turn right here and head down the road. Go past LSG SkyChefs, keep going straight ahead and you'll come to the end of the road and a short pedestrian-only through passage. Once through that, you'll find yourself on a small lane called Wilmslow Old Road, with a road in front of you called Sunbank Lane. You need to turn left up Wilmslow Old Road; follow that all the way to the end (you'll see the Monarch hangar on your left as you go up there) and the Viewing Park is at the end.
There is no pavement along that road and it can get quite busy if it's a nice day and at weekends, so take care.
One other thing to bear in mind is that the Arriva route 19 is a circular route, so obviously you want to get the one that'll give you a short journey between the freight terminal and Terminal 1 rather than going all round Hale and Altrincham. Timetables can be found on arrivabus.co.uk
