Excellent work indeed although for a moment, just prior to touchdown and with the wings swinging from left to right, it really seems like they barely made it through a catastrophe!

Excellent work indeed.

Did this plane fly again or is it no longer?

Quoting Paulcaz (Reply 3):

It is in BHX with titles painted out AFAIK.

Sadly there isn't a picture on A.net but there is on the 'other site'

The frame is at this present minute in the process of being taken apart bit by bit. I saw a flat bed vehicle take away the engine cowlings about two weeks ago. The nose (radome) has already gone. There are no markings on the aircraft whatsoever (just lots of white paint). There is a vehicle next to the aircraft that arrives each morning and leaves each evening belonging to a salvage company. I can only imagiine that they are removing any and all interior (cockpit) fittings as possible and decommisioning the rest of the aircraft before the major league dismantling takes place.
I'm lucky my job is my hobby

So when the camera zoomed in on the side of the plane with no gear, what was the damage from? Did the landing gear come off in flight? The damage on the plane looks too high too be from the landing.
If it ain't broke, DON'T touch it!!!!

I agree (kindda) the emergency landing was performed very well, but from what I've heard the crew were sacked after this!

They left the right main gear at East Midlands Airport after what was apparently a terrible attempt at a landing in bad weather!

Never knew this video existed, thanks for posting.
