DL 763's To Return To MSY

Mon Feb 19, 2007 3:29 am

Just for four days...but still...nice to see them here on "scheduled" flights, not extra segments or charters.

DL588 on 2/25, 2/26, 3/1, and 3/2 will be flown with a 763 MSY-ATL. I'm thinking there must be a big convention in town or something.

DL got rid of all of their cans here, but they still have one or two widebody loaders.

Also....DL will be doing more 757 turns here over the next month or two...some days will see 3x 757's.

Bummer! I was hoping it would be a permanent fixture, and I'd get an A/C swap for my flights into and out of MSY in April  Smile

There was nothing in the world like blasting off of runway 1 with a full load of 254 passengers on one of those 763's. You usually got airborne in about 4,000ft or so. Quite a rush!

I'll bet  Smile

Oh well...I can hold out hope. After all, I'll be there during the end of the spring break season...So who knows  Smile

Stanger things have happened. You know DL is always good for equipment swaps. I sort of miss when they had the M11's because we'd see one every now and again replace a 76.

It appears that Justin Timberlake will be bringing sexy back in advance of the Professional Bull Riders in the days following his show. Other than that I don't see anything fancy on the schedule. I'm surprised they didn't roll in a few this week for Mardi Gras. I remember the days of flying in their on 762s all the time for regular service.

As long as they don't swap out the 757 for anything smaller on my PDX-ATL and ATL-PDX runs....Bigger is ok, of course  Smile

...sure there is--- doing it off of 19. That way, you can wave at the spotters near the nudie-book store, and also get a good view of the river  Wink
