Was it possibly an extra section that QX did to help out AS if they couldn't provide a mainline a/c for? That's happened on several occasions with HP/YV. If there is a day where we have two or three charter flights with a few other aircraft OTS on mx, YV will send up an extra section (pending availability of crew/plane) to replace the mainline flight.

I think this will be one of the first - QX is adding some flights out of PDX now that they are seeing some of the CR7's returned from F9. They're adding some additional PDX-California/Vegas routes, and also, GEG-LAX, just off the top of my head. I think that at least initially, these will be additional frequencies as opposed to replacing mainline.

I thought the PDX-LAS flights on QX was part of an overall expansion of PDX.

It is. They added an extra PDX-Vegas section to supplement the AS service. Also, the GEG-LAX route on QX supplements the AS flight.

Look for 2 CR7's a day in LAS: 2591 and 2595, both from PDX. This began Jan 28 (if memory serves) as part of several addition routes added thanks to our returning CRJ fleet. New routes include PDX-LAS, PDX-PSP, PDX-SAN as well as GEG-LAX and GEG-SMF to commence July 1st. All SEA-YEG and SEA-YYC have been changed to CRJ's from a mix of CRJ and DH4. And don't forget about the 3 slots we were also awarded at LGB that we've not made a decision on yet. We've also begun receiving our 13 new DH4's (4 so far) and you'll see these taking over routes in PSC, YVR, BLI, YLW, YYJ, and the SEA-PDX market. SEA-STS and STS-LAX starts in March as well! All kinds of good things going on in the world of QX!

Does the CRJ-700 meet all of the criteria for regional slots out of LGB? Or will QX have to use DH4's on routes??

Horizon's CR7s should be OK at LGB.

LGB's limit is 75,000 lbs MTOW for the commuter slots that QX received. The standard CR7 is below that weight while an ER version is right at 75,000 lbs.

When AS/QX returned to Long Beach, AS didn't have the necessary slots so QX started SEA-LGB with the CR7's. Shouldn't be a problem again.
