An Extra 787 For LOT?

Mon Feb 19, 2007 9:24 pm

According to luchtvaartnieuws.nl LOT has placed an order for one extra 787, bringing the total number of 787s on order to 8. It's not clear if this is a new order or one of the many unidentified orders.

LOT is the first, and so far the only, European flag carrier with 787s on order.

But it won't be the last Wink Several European Charter carriers /scheduled carriers have of course ordered/leased 788s.

Yes, they had two options, and five purchase rights.

Here's the Boeing link:

According to the press release the order was one of the 5 unidentified orders placed last week (the other 4 being the awaited Air New Zealand 787-9 option conversions (also announced by Boeing today).
