AA Emergency

Tue Feb 20, 2007 9:09 pm

Anyone know what happened on this flight?
I was not able to find AA flights at around 11.30 on that route.

Kansas City International is commonly referred to as 'KCI' by the locals. The freeway signs directing you to the airport carry this same designation.

It sounds to me like the Tribune did get it right - they're not obligated use IATA codes exclusively for every acronym.

Thank you for being a beacon of sanity in this thread. It never ceases to amaze me the overzealousness of some A.netters' expectation of the general, non-aviation geek, public to know and use all proper airline codes.

Sounds like a fairly routine return to field (if there ever was such a thing) that was handled so well, it barely deserved a mention. Good job to the AA crew.

Next up...STL-DEN-STL for the Airliners International collectibles gathering in June. Don't miss it!

I moved to SEA. SEA is such a hassle. Happy?
