LTU Charter From HHN

Sun Feb 25, 2007 12:17 am

Hello to all a.netter,
please feel free to delete if this has been posted before. I didn't find anythink similar to that.

I was surfing and clicking through the world wide web and came across this one:

LT9800 MUC - HHN - AJR
LT9801 AJR - HHN - MUC
operated Dec. every 3/4 days with A320.

what kind of flight is that? charter or regular schedule? what is the reason for the stop at Frankfurt/Hahn? And where the hell is AJR (Arvidsiaur/SWEDEN)?

cheers!
Ori

This flight is for the automotive industry in western Germany. HHN is conveniently located between Ruesselsheim/Kaiserslautern (Opel), Cologne (Ford), Stuttgart (Porsche, Mercedes). They make their hard winter testings in northern Sweden.
This flight already exists a couple of years and was performed by Aero Lloyd in the beginning.

ok this makes sense, 'cause on every flight there are passengers already onboard from MUC (BMW and Audi)

HAJ also sees flights to AJR each winter. AFAIK tyre-manufacturer Continental is testing their products up north, like the car manufacturers do.

AJR also sees occasional ad-hoc charters from German airlines, in most cases also on behalf of companies of the automotive industry. Lufthansa CityLine operated to AJR a couple of times, but i don't think they've done so recently.
