Help With Emirates Bookings

Sun Feb 25, 2007 8:37 am

Dear a.netters,

I just booked my ticket on Emirates website and I wanted to pick my seats. It will be going something like this:

DL1208 MCO-JFK MARCH 7
EK202 JFK-DXB MARCH 7: ARRIVE MARCH 8
EK953 DXB-BEY MARCH 9

EK958 BEY-DXB MARCH 18
EK203 DXB-JFK MARCH 19
DL1838 JFK-MCO MARCH 19

How can I choose my seats online?

You could use the internet check in service on www.emirates.com, 24 hours before the scheduled departure of your first flight, like I did when I travelled on EK last year. A very good additional tool since there is generally a seperate queue for internet check in.

With regards to reserving a seat far earlier in advance, I believe only Skywards passengers have access to this facility, plus the bulkhead and emergency exit seats can only be reserved at check in.

Bit of a pain I agree, but anyways have a great trip, if its your first time on EK I hope you enjoy them, they ICE entertainment system is the best on the world.

Work out which aircraft will be operating for each sector, go to seat maps on the EK website and pick your preferred seat. If you are already a Skywards member thats fine, if not sign up. Call the Emirates contact center for your country or email skywards centre via website. Tell them your seating requirements and if sucessful they will email to confirm your requests. Seat pre-allocations are only guaranteed if you are a skywards member regardless of tier, so its important to sign up.

That is what I do and I travel with them twice a year.

Regards
Shabaz

I believe it's 12 hours not 24.

I actually fly EK every year but, this is the first time I booked it online. Usually my travel agent does this and he calls EK and gets the seats for me.

Thanks for your help.
