That's a bit early for leaving Orlando. I take it the Saturday-only service by Air Tran is longer there?

I believe AirTran only has connections to Orlando out of ICT now.

Always fun to see what new "oddball" routes Allegiant comes up with.

I've also been speculating on a possible new focus city that fits their modus operandi....PSP is a different color on the route map, but that's a highly seasonal market. Which leaves me to think either RNO, ACY (longshot) or PBI. Any thoughts?

Yep

This is great news for both Central Florida as well as ICT. Glad to hear Allegiant is continuing the expansion back east here. I just wish they'd add back that SWF flight. I used to fly that all the time, and now I'm stuck driving all the way to MCO for JetBlue. Not that JetBlue's bad or anything, though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see larger markets to Reno show up sometime ... or larger markets to Myrtle Beach come in as well.
if assumptions could fly, airliners.net would be the world's busiest airport

It is pretty interesting to see what city pairs Allegiant sees a potential market in. These "oddball" pairs however seem to be working out pretty well for them, especially when they only fly them two or three days a week.

Good luck to Allegiant on this route!

Honestly, I have lived in a few communities that Allegiant has come into, and the people literally flock to them. They make it so people almost cannot afford not to take a vacation. When they started service to Billings, I must have known a few dozen people who decided to take vacations to Vegas specifically because the cheap air fares were there. They are kind of like the Southwest Effect, but they have the Allegiant Effect, growing the market, getting people to travel who otherwise would not.
