Probably should add that YYZ is under a major winter storm right now with icing conditions at the max. Environment Canada issued a severe winter weather warning early this morning. I am surprised the flight tried to take off and the airport is even operating. I would not want to fly today.

Hearing takeoffs overhead, so the airport is operating outbound, but several planes have diverted to their secondary airports.

The airport has been operating all afternoon...looks like just some delays. I was out there this afternoon and you could not even make out planes that were about 100m away. Although...I knew they were there because you could easily hear them! They were certainly busy clearing snow though....

I was just there on Tuesday everything was smooth. Only thing is the deicing all the way at the end of runway and the going back to the other end for take off. I was on AC 795 bound for LAX

Looks like it is Aeropro 802, A Beechcraft 100 King Air (twin-turboprop).

to hear the ATC recording for this.

From what I can make sense of the recording, the plane seems to have ice problem even before it takes off.. then after takeoff returns to the airport immediately.
