Spring/early Summer Transatlantic Fare Sales

Fri Mar 02, 2007 7:53 am

I know that May-Aug is harvest time for transatlantic air carriers, but I was wondering whether or not the likes of AF, KLM, LH, BA, UA, AA etc try to promote fare sales for early summer. Trying to get to WAW in late May from ORD or DTW and connections aren't as important as price. Generally, I'm finding fares in the 1000-1200 USD range and was hoping for something in the 800 USD range. Am i kidding myself in thinking that air carriers promote discount fares during this busy time of the year?
